Alice joined Edge in July 2017, becoming the second Alice in the office. Her responsibilities include the day to day running of the office and providing support to the rest of the team.
Alice’s background is predominantly customer service, however due to her organised nature she made the decision to pursue a career in administration. Her eye for detail and amiable personality make her a worthwhile addition to the team.
In our last employment-status article we discussed the indicators of employment vs self-employment and the tax and NIC implications thereon. Given the recent ruling in the Uber case it seems that courts are leaning further towards an employee/employer relationship rather than that of an independent contractor.
